The ripe fruits were collected from Kassab, Jableh and al-Hafah during 2006 &#8211; 2007- 2008.<br \/>\nThe planting was performed in laboratories on Agar medium inside germination incubator. Also, the planting was done in field inside polyethylene sacks. The results of this work showed that low temperature 5- 10 has the major effect on overcoming dormancy. The light had positive effect on germination of <em>Prunus pinosa<\/em> &amp; <em>Prunus ursine<\/em> uncoated seeds and in germination of coated seeds and uncoated seeds of <em>P. ursina<\/em> whereas the percentages of embryo germination were high in both light and dark. However, the embryo ability of germination in dark was higher than it was in light. Seed coats (endocarp, epicarp) had negative role in germination. The results of chemical treatments showed no role of different concentrations of sulfuric acid 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100% for periods 15, 30, 60 and 120 m on germination of coated seeds of both species. Also, there was no role of gebrilic acid concentrations (500 &#8211; 1000 &#8211; 4000 &#8211; 6000 ppm) for periods (10s and 1 h) in germination of coated seeds of both types. The same concentrations of gebrilic acid, for 10 seconds, had positive role on uncoated seed germination for both types.<br \/>\nSeed treatment with the same concentrations caused deformities in different parts of uncoated seeds.<br \/>\nIn case of sowing in nursery, stratification of both types of coated seeds at 4 C, for 2-3 months had positive role in germination in comparison with control and samples treated for only one month.
