Administration of Plant Protection Research
It is interested in the study of different diseases, economic insects, and harmful pests attacking farm crops; identification of protection and control methods especially biological ones; analysis of pesticides and identification of the most efficient ones for the Syrian context; and monitoring of agro-products being free from residual impact. It consists of the following divisions:
1.Plant pathology research.
2. Insects research

4. Non-entomological animal pests research
5. Nematodes research
6. Insecticides testing and research

Administration of Horticulture Research
It is interested in finding out modern varieties of fruit trees, citrus, olives and vegetables; introducing new farming types into Syrian agricultural structure; giving attention to organic farming; rationalizing the application of fertilizers and insecticides; using biological control practices of entomological pests; and developing greenhouse farming.It consists of the following divisions:

3. Ornamental, medicinal and aromatic plants research

Administration of Natural Resources Research
It is interested in conserving, developing and improving natural agricultural resources; rationalizing the use of water, lands, fertilizers and vegetation; focusing on the development of modern irrigation methods and their propagation among farmers; applying GIS systems; and analyzing agricultural soils for farmers for balanced and rational fertilization as actually needed. All these are for improving the quality of agro-products and reducing production costs.It consists of the following divisions:1. Water requirements and irrigation technology research.

Administration of LiveStock Research
It works on the development of local breeds productivity of farm animals, particularly Awassi sheep, Shami cattle, Shami goats, buffaloes and camels through genetic improvement process and improvement of nutrition and care, along with the distribution of improved breeds to animal breeders to improve their flocks and raise their productivity.It consists of the following divisions:

It is interested in studying the quality of food product; identifying crop and vegetable varieties with good processing and preservation suitability and adopting relevant methods; studying traditional foods; and applying standard system and finding out efficient ways for dissemination of useful information.It consists of the following sections:
